NOVQO die grinders

A die grinder is a scaled-down angle grinder for work where a full-size one will not turn: in corners, in recesses, on small parts. What matters is not power but control — the tool is held in one hand and guided along a line rather than pressed down by weight.

Variable speed

Material and accessory call for different speeds. Polishing at maximum will burn the surface; rough cleaning at minimum will drag on. A 3000–15000 rpm range lets the setting be matched to the operation rather than the other way round.

Head and mount

An aluminium head draws heat away from the gearbox better than a plastic one — over long sessions that tells on service life. The disc is held by a clamp.

What it is used for

Grinding, cleaning up, polishing and trimming — operations where precision in a confined space matters more than removing a large volume of material.

FAQ

01 How does a die grinder differ from a normal angle grinder?
In size and purpose. A full-size grinder removes a large volume of material, is held in two hands and pressed down. A die grinder is held in one hand and is meant for precise work in tight spots: corners, recesses, small parts. There is no point substituting it for an angle grinder on heavy work.
02 Why does variable speed matter?
Speed is matched to the material and the accessory. At high revolutions a polishing wheel will overheat the surface; at low ones an abrasive will take a long time to remove material. Running at maximum by default shortens the life of both the accessory and the tool.
03 What should I check when choosing discs?
The bore diameter and the thickness — on a small format they differ from discs for a full-size grinder. If no set is supplied, matching accessories to a specific model often turns out harder than it sounds.
