Replacement blades for NOVQO spatulas

On a spatula for mechanised application only the blade wears out. The handle, body and fixing last for years, while the steel edge dulls, picks up nicks and starts leaving marks on the finish. Instead of a new tool, you change the blade.

Width

Narrow blades (20–30 cm) work where a wide one cannot reach: reveals, corners, areas around sockets, plasterboard joints. Mid sizes (40–60 cm) are the main working range for walls and ceilings in rooms. Wide blades (80–100 cm) leave fewer joins on large planes but require a trued substrate and even pressure across the full width.

Thickness

The 0.5 mm blade is stiffer: it holds a straight line and shears ridges off, which is why it is used for the first levelling coat. The 0.3 mm blade is softer, follows the surface and spreads the compound thin — that is finishing over an already trued plane.

Two body types

Blades differ by the spatula they fit: separate series for plastic and for aluminium (ALU) bodies. The series are not the same, so when replacing a blade check both the width and your tool.

Straight edge

The working line is straight across the full width — the coat lays down without waves or streaks, and the boundary between adjacent passes is barely readable under side lighting.
